Discovery RV Rentals
TERMS AND
CONDITIONS:
Reservations:
A $200.00 per week deposit (max $400.00) is required for tent
trailers. A $500.00 deposit is required for travel trailers. A $
1000.00 deposit is required for motorhomes. All reservations are
taken over the phone using either Visa or Master Card.
Payment: Payment must be made in full prior to
departure; we reserve the right to cancel the reservation. We
accept Cash, Visa and MasterCard. Sorry cheques and debt cards
are not accepted.
Cancellation Charges: No refunds will be given
when a cancellation is made within 30 days of departure date. If
a renter cancels a reservation before 30 days a fee of $100.00
is charged. No refunds for “NO SHOWS”. No refunds are given for
early returns.
Security Deposit:
On
departure day a deposit of $200.00
cash or credit card is required for tent trailers. Travel
trailers require a $500.00 security deposit. Motorhomes require
a $1000.00 security deposit. This deposit is secured with a
major credit card at or before departure. This deposit is
refundable after 30 days from rental return only if a rental
unit is returned on time, undamaged and clean, with no evidence
of smoking or pets inside, complete with all equipment.
Pick Up and Drop Off:
Pick up times are between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm. Drop off times
are between 9:00 am and 11:00 am. Late fees of $ 50.00 per hour
will be charges for rentals returned late.
Rental Week:
Harrison : A rental week
is from Friday at the above mentioned pick up times to the
following Friday at the above mentioned drop off times.
Vernon, Agassiz, Surrey and Chilliwack :
A rental week is from Saturday
at the above mentioned pick up times to the following
Saturday at the above mentioned drop off
times.
Mechanical Repairs:
All repairs must be approved by Discovery RV Rentals. In the
event of a breakdown, we are not responsible for any extra costs
incurred by the renter. Our liability is limited to the refund
of rental charges for any night’s total loss of RV use due to RV
breakdown.
Loss of Battery Power:
Discovery RV Rentals will not be responsible for loss of use of
the fridge, furnace, or lights for low or dead auxiliary battery
if the renter is not plugged into an electrical plug available
at most campsites.
Restricted Usage:
Travel on gravel and/ or logging
roads, beaches, Mexico, Yukon and Northwest Territories
is strictly prohibited. Travel during winter
freezing conditions requires the renter to take extra
precautions with fluids any damage caused by plumbing freeze up
will be charged to the renter. Roof storage, sitting and
standing on roof is NOT allowed at any time.
Negligence:
Renters may be held responsible for mechanical damage due to
negligence in rental unit operation or failure to provide normal
maintenance. Renters are responsible for checking tire pressure
and ensuring the RV is secured to the towing vehicle before
travel, trailer has been properly collapsed and securely closed
if applicable or oil and antifreeze level is full before
driving.
Awning: The
renters will be charged for any and all damage to the awning
arising from renter use or misuse of
the awning. The awning must be stored properly when not in use
or while travelling. It is recommended that the awning is stored
in any windy conditions.
Propane:
Propane tanks will be provided full at time of departure and
MUST be refilled upon return.
Waste Water System:
If so equipped, the RV must be returned with the toilet and grey
water dumped and cleaned.
Pets: Pets
are not allowed in rental units.
Cleaning:
Rental units are to be returned clean or a minimum $ 50.00
charge will apply.
Smoking:
Smoking is NOT permitted inside any rental unit. A $ 300.00
charge will apply if a rental unit has been smoked in.
Driving License/Driver's Age:

All
drivers must possess a driver's license valid for the
entire rental period

An
international driver's license is required for foreign
tourists

Minimum age is 21. Only drivers listed on contract are
allowed to drive
General Conditions:
Every effort has been made to ensure that the information on our
website and brochure is correct. Rental unit descriptions are
general and are subject to change without notice. Prices are
also subject to change without notice however, once booked
prices will not change. Please see our pricing page for other
charges. Discovery RV Rentals will not be held responsible for
any losses incurred by renters which may have resulted from
rental units being damaged, stolen, or returned late by previous
renters.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Trailer Ball:
2” trailer hitch required for towing unit. Trailer ball height
must be between 17” and 18”. The
towing ball requirement for the travel trailer is a 2 5/16
trailer ball. Height can be adjusted by Discovery RV Rentals
with an equalizer hitch.
Wiring:
requirements are either a flat 4 or a 7 point RV plug.
Travel trailers require a 7 point RV plug.
Brakes: the
law requires an electric brake control when the trailer weighs
more than 50% of the towing vehicle. It is the renters
responsibility to have electric brakes on the towing vehicle.
Our tent trailers weigh less than 3000 lbs and therefore do not
require electric brakes providing the vehicle weight is twice
the trailer weight. Our 10’ models have trailer brakes.
Our Travel trailers require electric brakes.
Insurance:
You must pre-purchase insurance for all of our rental units. You
can purchase rental insurance from ICBC by buying Road Star,
Roadside Plus or rental insurance for every day you intent to

If you have an accident a police report must be filed and a
police file number must be provided to Discovery RV Rentals.
